We are partnering with a respected provider of mental health housing and support services to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a CQC-regulated residential service in Hackney.
This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated and established team delivering high-quality, recovery-focused support to adults living with mental health needs. The service is committed to helping residents build independence, achieve personal goals, and live fulfilling lives within their communities.
As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping service quality, developing staff, strengthening best practice, and ensuring residents receive safe, effective, person-centred care.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and performance of a CQC-regulated mental health residential service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing visible and supportive leadership to the staff team
- Ensuring the service consistently meets CQC standards and regulatory requirements
- Driving high-quality, recovery-focused and person-centred support
- Leading safeguarding, risk management, incident reporting, and quality assurance processes
- Supporting and developing staff through supervision, coaching, and performance management
- Managing service performance, budgets, and operational outcomes
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals, and regulators
- Leading service improvement initiatives and embedding best practice across the service
- Promoting independence, social inclusion, and positive outcomes for residents
- Ensuring safe staffing levels and effective service delivery
- Leading on inspections, audits, compliance activity, and continuous improvement plans
Essential
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager within an adult social care or mental health service
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, risk management, and mental health support practices
- Experience leading teams through service improvement, change, and quality enhancement
- Strong people management, coaching, and performance management skills
- Experience managing service performance, operational budgets, and quality assurance processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals, and regulators
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred and recovery-focused care
Desirable
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting services through CQC inspections and improvement programmes
- Additional relevant professional qualifications or memberships
