Hales Homecare is looking for a Registered Manager (Maternity Cover) to oversee our domiciliary care services in Gateshead and Newcastle. This temporary position offers the opportunity to lead an established and successful branch, ensuring continuity of exceptional care while providing leadership and support to our dedicated teams during a period of maternity leave.

The Role
As our Registered Manager (Maternity Cover), you will be responsible for ensuring every client receives safe, high-quality care that enables them to remain independent in their own homes.
You will lead, support and develop both care and office-based teams through effective coaching, mentoring and performance management, creating a positive culture where colleagues feel valued and empowered to succeed.
As an ambassador for Hales Homecare and our values, you will build strong relationships with colleagues, local authority partners, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders, helping to maintain and strengthen our reputation within the local area.
You'll be supported by an experienced corporate infrastructure, including dedicated Quality, Recruitment, HR, IT and Learning & Development teams, alongside market-leading digital care management systems featuring preventative AI technology, customer and care apps, and interactive digital training platforms.
About You
You will be a compassionate and resilient leader with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Ideally, you will have experience working within a regulated care environment and a sound understanding of the requirements of a Registered Manager role. However, we also welcome applications from ambitious care professionals with proven leadership experience who are ready to take the next step in their career.
For us, attitude is just as important as experience. If you can demonstrate the right knowledge, values and determination to succeed, we'll support your ongoing development, including working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, if not already achieved.
You'll also possess strong commercial awareness and the confidence to make sound decisions that balance quality care, regulatory compliance and operational performance.
