Registered Manager – Supported Accommodation (16-17)
The JN Group are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–17.
The service aims to provide a safe, supportive environment that promotes independence and positive outcomes for young people preparing for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the supported accommodation service
- Ensure compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Ofsted requirements
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times
- Develop, implement and review support plans, risk assessments and placement plans
- Supervise, support and develop staff, including inductions and performance management
- Ensure effective safeguarding procedures are followed, including responding to and reporting incidents appropriately
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, placing authorities and partner agencies
- Monitor and improve service quality through audits, feedback and continuous improvement processes
- Provide effective leadership, direction, and management of the home and staff team.
- Ensure the home operates in line with its Statement of Purpose.
- Create a positive, child-centred culture that promotes safety, stability, and emotional wellbeing
- Lead by example, modelling professional standards and therapeutic approaches.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in children’s social care, supported accommodation or a related field
- Experience working with looked-after children or care leavers
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and risk management
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
- Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated environment
- Knowledge of leaving care frameworks and pathway planning What We Offer
