Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Registered Mental Health Nurse for a permanent, full-time position at a specialist private mental-health hospital situated in the Norfolk countryside.
The hospital provides distinct specialist treatment pathways for adults with complex mental-health and addiction needs. Its services include a dedicated inpatient environment supporting women with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and disordered eating, alongside a developing specialist addiction-treatment service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated RMN who wants to deliver structured, person-centred and trauma-informed care as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patients and developing, implementing and reviewing individual care plans
- Delivering safe, effective and person-centred nursing care
- Administering medication and maintaining accurate clinical records
- Completing risk assessments and responding appropriately to changes in presentation
- Supporting patients with complex mental-health and emotional needs
- Building professional and therapeutic relationships with patients
- Working collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists and support workers
- Participating in clinical reviews, handovers and multidisciplinary meetings
- Following safeguarding, infection-control and health-and-safety procedures
- Supporting and guiding colleagues during shifts
- Promoting dignity, recovery, independence and positive outcomes
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification
- Active NMC registration
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional nursing standards
- Confident communication, assessment and record-keeping skills
- A compassionate, calm and recovery-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Availability to work a combination of day and night shifts
- Experience supporting people with complex mental-health needs
Experience involving personality disorders, disordered eating, trauma-informed care or addiction treatment would be advantageous.
