Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, resilient, and compassionate Registered Support Manager to lead a specialist Supported Living service in Gosport. This service supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex care requirements.

In this role, you will work alongside the Operations Manager to ensure the service delivers person-centred, high-quality, and compliant care. You will lead and empower a dedicated team while navigating complex situations, embedding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and maintaining strong multi-agency relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, motivate, and develop Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to deliver high-quality, personalised care.

  • Foster an inclusive, accountable, and supportive workplace culture where staff feel valued and empowered.

  • Manage recruitment, induction, regular supervisions, appraisals, and performance management.

Quality, Compliance & Operations

  • Hold overall responsibility for the operational performance, quality standards, and regulatory compliance of the service.

  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, local authority contractual requirements, and organisational policies.

  • Lead on safeguarding investigations, incident management, risk assessment, and continuous quality improvement.

  • Oversee regular service audits, quality assurance processes, and action plans.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and strict adherence to GDPR and data protection regulations.

Person-Centred Care & Clinical Practice

  • Embed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed approaches across all daily support routines.

  • Promote positive risk-taking to maximize individuals' independence while maintaining robust risk management plans.

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary care, collaborating with families, commissioners, social workers, health professionals, and advocates.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Manager or Deputy Manager within a CQC-regulated Health and Social Care environment.

  • Demonstrated history of supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex mental health needs, or trauma backgrounds.

  • Strong working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards, safeguarding procedures, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multi-agency stakeholder management skills.

  • Relevant Health and Social Care leadership qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, or equivalent/working towards).
