Regulatory Change Specialist VP
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)
Working Pattern: Full Time, hybrid 2 days in office based in Belfast

Pay: £560 per day via umbrella

Our client, a leading player in the financial services industry, is on the lookout for a dynamic Regulatory Change Specialist to join their team! If you have a passion for regulatory compliance and a knack for managing complex risks, we want to hear from you!

As part of the Client Organisation's Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Regulations Management Team, you will:

  • Collaborate with specialists and first-line functions to monitor and assess compliance risks associated with Laws, Rules, and Regulations (LRRs) across various business lines.
  • Lead comprehensive evaluations of new or revised LRRs to understand their implications on operations, controls, and risk profiles.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen the organisation's regulatory compliance framework, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in working groups to represent the 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) and drive awareness of regulatory programmes across business stakeholders.
  • Utilise your analytical skills to integrate complex data and produce comprehensive outputs, driving informed decision-making.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 8-12 years in Compliance or Operational Risk Management within the financial services sector, with proven experience in 1LOD roles.
  • Strong understanding of compliance laws, regulations, and best practises relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to evaluate complex regulatory requirements, assess their impact, and utilise data platforms like Excel and Tableau.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior management.
  • Strong decision-making skills, adept at navigating ambiguity and managing multiple priorities.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
