We are looking for a Regulatory Commitments Analyst to report directly to the Regulatory Commitments Lead. You will provide essential data management, tracking, and analytical support to ensure we consistently deliver on our regulatory promises.
You will be the core administrator for our live SEW regulatory commitments database, serving as a key linchpin between operational teams and regulatory expectations.
You will work closely with teams across the wider business to monitor progress against agreed timelines, track accountability outputs, and gather compliance evidence. Your diligent analysis and tracking will ensure that commitments are met to the satisfaction of our regulators and ultimately deliver the best outcomes for our customers.
Main responsibilities:
- Database maintenance: Administer, update, and ensure the absolute accuracy of the comprehensive, live database of SEW regulatory commitments.
- Milestone tracking: Monitor delivery timelines, accountability outputs, and milestones across various business areas, proactively flagging potential slippages to the Regulatory Commitments Lead.
- Data analysis & reporting: Analyse compliance data and compile clear performance documentation, progress reports, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Evidence collection: Coordinate with the wider business to gather, verify, and archive robust evidence demonstrating that regulatory commitments have been met satisfactorily.
- Meeting support: Assist in driving internal tracking meetings by preparing performance data, updating milestones, and documenting agreed action points.
- Regulatory awareness: Support the wider team in monitoring compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, including Ofwat and environmental legislation.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- Data & analytical skills: Proficiency in managing databases, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and tracking tools, with a strong ability to analyse data trends.
- Attention to detail: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tracking tasks with competing priorities.
- Organisational skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills to keep critical schedules on track.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present detailed tracking information clearly and concisely.
- Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with data providers and stakeholders across the business.
- Problem solving: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset focused on data accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Experience in a regulated industry (preferably in utilities or water sectors) would be an advantage.
