Are you a Reliability Engineer looking for an opportunity to make a real impact?

Our client is a successful and growing manufacturing business seeking an experienced engineer to help drive reliability, reduce downtime and improve the performance of critical production equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team where you'll play a key role in shaping maintenance strategy and delivering continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

Working closely with the Maintenance, Production and Quality teams, you'll focus on improving equipment reliability, increasing plant performance and reducing unplanned downtime through proactive engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver long-term maintenance and asset reliability strategies.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement permanent solutions.
  • Improve Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
  • Develop condition-based monitoring and reliability-focused maintenance plans.
  • Analyse CMMS data, downtime trends and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
  • Support, coach and influence the maintenance team to embed best practice.
  • Drive improvements that maximise machine uptime and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a Reliability Engineer or Maintenance Improvement role within manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and Reliability Centred Maintenance.
  • Experience delivering Continuous Improvement projects.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
  • Multi-skilled engineering background.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
