Relief Driver

Job Title: Relief Driver - HGV Class 1 and Class 2

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: East Midlands Gateway

Working Pattern: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Salary: £896.54 per week plus additional overtime and nights out allowance

Working Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 48 hours per week plus 5 hours overtime. Nights out are possible but unlikely.

The Role

This is a relief driver position working on a contracted logistics operation at East Midlands Gateway. The role covers Class 1 and Class 2 driving as required and involves a range of tasks including trailer swaps, RDC deliveries and multi-drop work.

You will be working independently on behalf of the end client, who will be your point of contact for operational and trailer matters. All vehicle and work-related issues are handled directly by our client. Training is provided where needed to get you up to speed and settled into the role.

ADR deliveries form part of this role. Candidates who already hold an ADR licence will be prioritised, though training will be provided to the right candidate if required.

All loads must be safely strapped and secured in line with legal and company requirements. Any delays or issues must be communicated promptly to maintain service standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Up to date CPC card
• ADR licence (desirable, training available for the right candidate)
• Keen, efficient and committed to safe working practices
• Flexible and able to cover Class 1 or Class 2 as the operation requires
• Able to take ownership of your work and operate independently
