Religious Education Teacher – Wimbledon, SW19
Ethos Education is seeking a Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, permanent role at a high-performing secondary school in Wimbledon, South West London, starting September 2026.
The position is paid on the Inner London MPS/UPS scale, £40,317 to £62,496 per annum depending on experience, and is open to both ECTs and experienced RE teachers.
About the role
You will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering world religions, philosophy and ethics, within a well-established and well-resourced department. GCSE results are consistently above national averages, and there may be Key Stage 5 opportunities for suitably experienced candidates.

What you will need
- QTS, or QTS pending for ECTs, with a specialism in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Theology or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach RE as a rigorous academic discipline
- A commitment to inclusive classroom practice and high expectations for all pupils
- Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
