Religious Education Teacher (KS3 & KS4) Leeds Full-Time Immediate Start Contract Until Christmas
We are working with a thriving inner-city secondary school in Leeds that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department on a full-time basis until Christmas.
The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE classes. Due to the specialist nature of the role and a challenging recruitment market, the school is also keen to hear from Humanities teachers with experience delivering RE, including those whose main specialism is History, Geography, or Citizenship.
The Role:
- Delivering engaging Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teaching GCSE RE classes.
- Planning, preparing and assessing student work in line with departmental expectations.
- Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Supporting pupil progress and raising attainment across the subject.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching RE at secondary level, or a Humanities specialism with the ability to teach RE confidently.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring young people.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
- Available on a full-time basis until Christmas.
