Remedial Plumber with Water Hygiene

£34,000-£36,000 + Van (private use) + Benefits + Sector Cross Training + unlimited overtime

With new contracts starting shortly, our client who are a Health and Safety Consultancy require 2 Remedial Plumbers with experience in water hygiene to help run key contracts in the Midlands area. Work will primarily be within a 90-minute radius of the Midlands, and you will work in pairs on site or as part of a larger team (contract size permitting).

The successful hires will need to be in a similar position currently and have knowledge of legionella compliance work including temperature testing, flushing and tank upgrades/cleans. Most importantly for any new hire, all work is planned out in advance enabling staff to manage their day effectively. Overtime is readily available, and regional work is provided wherever possible.

To apply for the Remedial Plumber role, the successful applicant will ideally have the following background

  • 4+ years working as a fully qualified plumber with at least 2 years as a remedial plumber
  • Hold a level 2 in plumbing with other certificates such as Water Regs and G3 unvented being beneficial
  • Full driving license
  • DBS checked

Typical duties for the Remedial Plumber will include

  • Pipework including modifications, replace and deadleg removals
  • Fault finding on commercial plumbing systems including leak detection
  • TMV Installs/Servicing
  • Carrying out planned plumbing maintenance on a range of sites including Health Care, Schools, Offices and Retail.
  • Offering guidance to site managers on further work required
  • Maintaining site logbooks working closely with head office and key points of contact.

All candidates must be willing to do water hygiene as part of the role when required but the focus of your duties will be on remedials.
