Our Glasgow based client has a temporary need for a proactive and customer‑focused Repairs Advisor to join a busy Repairs & Voids team. If you enjoy diagnosing repairs, coordinating contractors and delivering a great service to tenants, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within the housing sector.
The Role
As a Repairs Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of the responsive repairs and voids service. You’ll manage repair enquiries, prioritise work orders, support contractors and ensure customers receive timely, accurate updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling repair enquiries from tenants, colleagues and contractors, logging and progressing them through the housing management system.
- Diagnosing repairs accurately, prioritising work orders and ensuring the right contractor is appointed first time.
- Issuing, monitoring and chasing work orders to ensure completion within agreed targets.
- Processing invoices, variations and recharges, ensuring value for money and accurate cost coding.
- Coordinating void inspections, safety checks and repairs, managing certificates and ensuring properties are ready for re-let.
- Managing warranty defects with contractors to secure timely resolutions.
- Maintaining accurate records, including keys, locks and recharges.
- Supporting KPI delivery, data accuracy and continuous improvement across the service.
- Providing excellent customer service — keeping tenants informed by phone, email and text, and resolving issues promptly.
- Assisting with complaints handling, background reports and customer satisfaction surveys.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll work closely with Repairs & Voids colleagues, Housing Officers, Maintenance Managers, Development teams and external contractors — all focused on delivering a safe, responsive and customer‑centred service.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in repairs, maintenance, property services or a similar housing environment.
- Strong diagnostic skills and confidence prioritising and allocating work orders.
- Excellent communication skills with a calm, customer‑focused approach.
- Ability to manage workloads, chase progress and maintain accurate records.
- A commitment to health & safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Someone organised, reliable and motivated to deliver great outcomes for tenants.
