Are you an experienced Repairs Surveyor looking for your next contract with a leading social housing provider? We're recruiting for an experienced Repairs Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services across a diverse housing portfolio in Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established housing organisation where you'll play a key role in ensuring residents receive a first-class repairs service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre- and post-inspections of responsive repairs and maintenance works.
- Diagnose building defects and prepare clear specifications and schedules of work.
- Manage repairs through to completion, ensuring quality, value for money and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual standards and health and safety legislation.
- Undertake inspections relating to disrepair, damp and mould, void properties and planned maintenance where required.
- Provide technical advice to internal teams, contractors and residents.
- Ensure works comply with current legislation, building regulations and organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate records using housing management and asset systems.
- Build positive relationships with residents and stakeholders, delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the repairs process.
About You
You'll have previous experience working as a Repairs Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Maintenance Surveyor within social housing, local authority or residential property.
Essential
- Experience managing responsive repairs within social housing or residential property.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance and defect diagnosis.
- Experience specifying, inspecting and managing repair works.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or degree in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
- Experience managing disrepair, damp and mould cases.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and building regulations.
- Experience using housing asset management systems.
