R&D Controller role within a category leading healthy food brand

Location: Dorset (Hybrid working)

Salary: £80-85k plus car and package

We're looking for an experienced R&D Controller to lead the creation and continuous improvement of a portfolio of FMCG food products.

This is a high-impact leadership role, responsible for driving innovation from concept to launch, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring products remain best-in-class in quality, performance and consumer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the product innovation strategy and pipeline.
• Lead end-to-end product development, from concept through to launch.
• Drive continuous improvement across existing products, enhancing taste, texture, quality and consumer appeal.
• Leverage consumer insights, trends and market data to shape product decisions.
• Lead and develop R&D and product development capabilities.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers, research organisations and innovation networks.
• Team leadership

About You

We're looking for a commercially-minded innovation leader who combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of consumers and markets.

• Degree-qualified with a strong background in Food Science, R&D or Product Development.
• Proven success launching and scaling FMCG products.
• Experienced in product renovation and quality improvement.
• Able to translate consumer insights into commercially successful products.
• Strong stakeholder management, project leadership and influencing skills.
• Passionate about innovation, continuous improvement and delivering exceptional consumer experiences.
