Reset Room Supervisor

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Reset Room Supervisor to work in a supportive secondary school in the Burnley area.
This is an ongoing role starting ASAP, working Monday to Thursday, with a pay rate of £16.66 per hour.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the school's Reset Room, providing a calm and supportive environment for pupils who have been removed from lessons due to behavioural difficulties. The role will involve helping pupils to regulate, reflect on their behaviour and prepare to return to learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with the school's pastoral and teaching teams to support positive behaviour and maintain a consistent approach across the school. They will need to be confident managing challenging situations, using appropriate de-escalation and behaviour management strategies, while building positive and respectful relationships with pupils.
The Role
The role will include:
- Supervising pupils in the Reset Room and maintaining a calm, safe environment
- Supporting pupils to reflect on their behaviour and identify appropriate strategies
- Managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently
- Supporting pupils to re-engage with lessons and learning
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Maintaining appropriate records and communicating relevant information
- Promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Working Hours
Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Thursday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Start: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Pay: £16.66 per hour
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly within a behaviour, pastoral, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support or similar role.
You will need to be calm, patient, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour, with the ability to establish positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries. A good understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies would be highly beneficial.
You must also be committed to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children and young people, and be able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
Candidates will be required to provide details of their last two references covering the previous five years' work history and must have a current DBS or be prepared to apply for one. A face-to-face registration and relevant safeguarding checks will also be required.
