Resident Engineer


Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated Resident Engineer to work on a major infrastructure project in Dublin, Ireland. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in site supervision and contract administration, particularly under PWC CF3 conditions, who wants to play a significant part in ensuring quality and compliance on site.


Location and Working Pattern
Dublin, Ireland – on‑site role with some client and stakeholder engagement.

Our client is a recognised leader in delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects across Ireland, with a commitment to excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities
  • Administer Employer Design Public Works Contract (PWC CF3) under the Employer’s Representative.
  • Draft key documentation including progress reports, monthly valuations, claims determinations, and responses to RFIs and contractor correspondence.
  • Keep accurate, detailed site records, diaries, and photographic evidence.
  • Monitor delays, disputes, adverse conditions, and maintain dispute records.
  • Attend project meetings, prepare and distribute minutes.
  • Communicate with site teams on operational issues and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Welfare legislation, including workplace systems and PPE requirements.
  • Liaise with statutory undertakers and key stakeholders as required.


Must‑have Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in site supervision and contract administration on civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Employer Design Public Works Contract (PWC CF3).
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, including reports, valuations, claims, and RFIs.
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, and welfare compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills for record‑keeping and daily site logs.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Proficiency in standard IT tools (e.g., MS Office).


Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards professional status).
  • Experience in dispute resolution processes such as conciliation.
  • Knowledge of environmental or sustainability standards in civil projects.
