We are a family-run property business led by a full-time private landlord, managing and maintaining a diverse portfolio of residential properties across the Reading area. Our portfolio includes student HMOs, professional rental properties and serviced accommodation, all maintained to a high standard with a strong focus on providing an excellent experience for our tenants and guests.
We're looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Property Manager to become a key member of our team.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our residential properties, ensuring they are well maintained, compliant and professionally managed. Working closely with the business owners, you'll play an important role in maintaining our high standards while helping to improve and develop our systems as the business continues to evolve.
This is a varied, hands-on role that also offers exposure to property acquisitions, refurbishments and renovations, giving you the opportunity to be involved beyond traditional property management. As our portfolio continues to expand rapidly, you'll play a key role in supporting that growth and helping to shape the future of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operation of a varied residential property portfolio.
- Coordinating maintenance, repairs and planned works with trusted contractors.
- Carrying out regular property inspections.
- Managing tenant and guest enquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Overseeing tenancy administration and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Liaising with tenants, guests, contractors and suppliers.
- Assisting with rent monitoring, invoicing and basic bookkeeping.
- Supporting refurbishment and renovation projects, from planning through to completion.
- Assisting with the ongoing expansion and development of the property portfolio.
- Helping maintain the high standards of presentation and service across all properties.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in residential property management.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload independently.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Is eager to learn and keen to broaden their knowledge of property investment and development.
- Has some experience with basic bookkeeping or financial administration.
- Enjoys working in a small, close-knit family business where they can make a genuine contribution.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
