We are currently seeking an experienced Residential Quantity Surveyor to join one of our clients growing team and play a key role in the commercial management of residential construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with residential experience to work across a range of new-build and refurbishment projects, from pre-construction through to final account.
The RoleAs a Residential Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed and projects are delivered within budget.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing project costs from pre-construction through to completion.

Preparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets and forecasts.

Preparing tender and procurement documentation.

Obtaining, analysing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and payments.
-
Monitoring project expenditure and reporting on cost performance.

Managing variations, valuations and final accounts.
-
Identifying commercial risks and implementing appropriate cost-control measures.

Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Providing accurate commercial reports and cost advice to senior management.

Ensuring contractual and commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has:

Proven experience working within the residential construction sector.

Experience managing projects from tender/pre-construction through to final account.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and commercial management.

Excellent understanding of cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.

The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

Proficiency with relevant commercial and Microsoft Office software.

A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable.
