We are looking for caring, resilient, and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team within a Children's Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) residential home. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people.
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Act as a key worker and contribute to individual care plans.
  • Support education, independence, and personal development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with families, social workers, schools, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Safeguard children and young people at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a care, education, support, youth work, or similar setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing.
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in residential childcare (highly advantageous).
  • Understanding of behaviour support strategies.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong emotional resilience and integrity.
  • Relevant Health & Social Care or Residential Childcare qualifications.
