Resource & Real Time Planner

Cheshire | Hybrid (2 days onsite)
£30,000–£32,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Monday–Friday | 35-hour week

We're looking for a Resource & Real Time Planner to join a friendly, specialist Workforce Planning team responsible for coordinating home-based medical appointments across the UK.

You'll take ownership of workforce planning within your assigned region, ensuring the right medical professionals are in the right place at the right time to deliver a critical patient service. From producing effective schedules to managing real-time changes and resolving on-the-day challenges, you'll play a key role in ensuring appointment attendance targets are consistently achieved.

This opportunity would suit a Resource Planner or experienced Real Time Scheduling professional with energy, first class communication, the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise tasks, along with well-developed problem solving skills and ability to work at pace when required to mitigate service level challenges.

Experience within Workforce Planning, Scheduling and Real Time / Jeopardy Management in an environment supporting ‘field based’ staff is highly desirable.

What you'll be doing

  • Produce and maintain effective resource plans and schedules to meet patient demand.
  • Manage real-time changes, resolving service risks quickly and effectively.
  • Keep planning systems accurate and up to date.
  • Analyse performance trends to identify risks and planning improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and field-based medical professionals to ensure appointment attendance targets are met.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in Workforce Planning, Resource Planning or Scheduling (contact centre, field operations, repairs, transport or similar).
  • Strong real-time management experience, protecting service levels and responding to changing demand.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with confidence using planning systems and performance data.
  • Positive, proactive approach with a genuine team-first attitude.
