The Company:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Revit Technician to join an established North East manufacturing business specialising in technically engineered solutions for the construction industry.
The company manufactures specialist panel systems used across a wide variety of applications, including industrial facilities, data centres, cleanrooms, food manufacturing, temperature-controlled environments and commercial buildings. Their offering includes fire-rated and insulated systems alongside bespoke manufactured solutions.
Established for over 40 years, the business combines UK manufacturing with in-house technical expertise, supporting customers from initial project planning and design through to manufacture and installation.
They are now looking to strengthen their technical team with a Revit Technician who can support the design and delivery of customer projects.
Job Description:
As a Revit Technician, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and models to support construction and engineering projects from initial concept through to manufacture and installation.
Working closely with internal technical, project and commercial teams, the Revit Technician will interpret customer drawings and specifications and translate these into accurate, practical design information.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings/models using Autodesk Revit.
- Developing technical drawings for construction and engineering projects.
- Interpreting architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
- Reviewing customer specifications and technical requirements.
- Producing accurate layouts, details and construction information.
- Coordinating designs with customers, engineers, contractors and internal departments.
- Identifying potential design clashes or technical issues before manufacture/installation.
- Revising and updating drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring designs meet relevant project specifications and technical standards.
- Supporting projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.
Skills & Experience:
To be considered for this Revit Technician position, you will ideally have:
- Strong proficiency using Autodesk Revit – essential.
- Previous experience working as a Revit Technician, CAD Technician, Architectural Technician, Structural Technician or similar.
- Experience within structural engineering, construction, civil engineering or a related technical environment would be highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural or engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, dimensions and specifications.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience taking drawings from initial information through to detailed design.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD alongside Revit would be advantageous.
