About the Role
As a Benefits & Recognition Manager, you will take ownership of the benefits and recognition agenda, leading the annual benefits renewal while strengthening governance, processes, provider management and ROI measurement.
This newly created role offers genuine scope to assess the current landscape, identify opportunities for improvement and shape future benefits strategy and technology. You will work closely with the Reward team, HR stakeholders, brokers, insurers and third-party providers to deliver an effective, engaging and commercially focused benefits offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end benefits governance, identifying risks and implementing robust, scalable processes and controls.
- Lead the annual benefits renewal, including broker management, market reviews, financial analysis and implementation.
- Manage broker, insurer and third-party provider relationships, including service reviews and contract performance.
- Develop measures and benchmarks to assess benefits ROI, colleague engagement, business value and commercial effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement across benefits processes, including administration, claims, invoicing, data accuracy and colleague lifecycle activity.
- Own the recognition approach, analysing cost and engagement and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Lead or support recognition initiatives and programme implementation.
- Develop and deliver benefits communication and engagement activity, including roadshows, webinars and digital content.
- Provide insight and analysis to support the wider Reward strategy and benefits roadmap.
- Identify opportunities around benefits technology, including supporting technology selection and business cases.
- Partner with HR stakeholders and People Services to improve benefits processes, governance and colleague understanding.
About You
- Significant experience within employee benefits, Reward, Total Reward or a benefits consultancy environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across benefits renewals, risk benefits and benefits governance, ideally including group income protection, life assurance and critical illness.
- Experience managing brokers, insurers and third-party benefits providers.
- Proven experience improving benefits processes, governance and controls.
- Strong numerical, analytical and Excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience delivering benefits communications and/or recognition programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and make recommendations.
- Commercially focused, proactive and service driven with the confidence to work autonomously.
