RF Engineer – RF & Microwave – High Peak, Derbyshire

An RF Engineer job is available in High Peak, Derbyshire, with a leading technology business specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance RF and microwave products and solutions.

We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer with strong expertise in RF design, microwave engineering, RF simulation, testing and measurement, ideally with experience developing high-performance RF and microwave circuits, components or subsystems.

Based in High Peak, you will work on the design, development and delivery of advanced RF and microwave technology, supporting products from initial concept and simulation through prototyping, testing and into volume manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for an RF Engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities of the RF Engineer job in High Peak, Derbyshire

• Leading the RF and mmWave design, simulation and development of circuits, components and subsystems, ensuring designs meet technical and customer requirements.
• Conducting RF testing, measurement, characterisation and validation, alongside system analysis, performance optimisation and troubleshooting of complex RF designs.
• Developing detailed RF engineering documentation, including design reports, test plans and test results, while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Supporting the transition of RF designs from concept through prototyping into volume manufacturing, working with process engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability and yield.
• Collaborating with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing RF engineering expertise for RFQs, proposals, customer engagements and product development projects.

Requirements of the RF Engineer job in High Peak, Derbyshire

• Proven experience in RF engineering, RF design and microwave engineering, with knowledge of RF and microwave circuits, components and subsystems.
• Experience with RF simulation, system analysis, performance optimisation and troubleshooting of complex high-frequency designs.
• Hands-on experience in RF testing, measurement, characterisation and validation of prototypes and production hardware.
• Experience producing detailed RF engineering documentation and working to technical specifications, standards and customer requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with electronics, mechanical, software and systems engineers, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
