Rigger Erector – Industrial New Build Project

Location: Hertfordshire
Duration: 6–9 Month Contract
Hours: 11 Day Fortnight | 10 Hours Per Day
Rates: Paid in line with Blue Book Agreement

Basic Pay: £23.45 per hour + holidays
OT1: £32.83 per hour
OT2: £42.21 per hour
Accommodation: £53.39 per day or hotel provided
Bonus: £2.37 per hour
Travel & Fare Allowance

£2,757.45 per week – 70-hour working week including lodge and bonus

Our client is currently seeking experienced Rigger Erectors for a long-term industrial new build project based in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major project with consistent hours, competitive rates, and long-term work available.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out lifting, rigging, and erection activities in line with site procedures and lift plans
  • Installing and positioning structural steelwork, pipework modules, and mechanical equipment
  • Using lifting equipment including chain blocks, tirfors, slings, shackles, and hoists
  • Reading and interpreting lifting plans, engineering drawings, and site specifications
  • Assisting crane operations and ensuring safe movement of loads across site
  • Conducting pre-use inspections of lifting gear and equipment
  • Working closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other trades to complete installation activities
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with site health, safety, and environmental procedures

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Moving Engineering Construction Loads/NVQ Level 3 Capital Plant and Steel Structures
  • Valid CCNSG Safety Passport / ACE Card
  • Recognised Rigging and Slinging qualification
  • Proven experience working as a Rigger Erector on industrial construction or engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of lifting operations, lifting equipment, and safe systems of work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards on site
