Our client, a leading UK-wide recovery business, is seeking an experienced Roadside Vehicle Technician to join their dynamic team in the Chelmsford area. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled vehicle technician looking to expand their experience outside a traditional workshop environment while enjoying excellent earning potential and career development prospects.

  • Competitive basic salary of £36,400, with an OTE of up to £61,000 per annum

Duties of a Roadside Vehicle Technician:
  • Attend roadside breakdowns, providing on-the-spot repairs where possible
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical, diagnostic, and mechanical faults in the field
  • Arrange vehicle recoveries when necessary
  • Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service during roadside assistance calls
  • Log and update job information accurately as a Roadside Vehicle Technician
  • Work independently in a mobile environment, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery
Requirements of a Roadside Vehicle Technician:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Evidence of strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work day shifts with occasional weekend work (on rota)
  • Ability to work independently and handle diverse technical issues encountered on roadside
