We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable UK-wide recovery business for the position of Roadside Vehicle Technician based in Brighton, East Sussex. Duties of the Roadside Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct roadside repairs, diagnostics, and fault-finding on a wide range of vehicles
  • Provide exceptional customer service while on-site resolving breakdowns efficiently
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and electrical knowledge to identify issues accurately
  • Complete paperwork and reports associated with each repair operation
  • Ensure vehicle safety and compliance with industry standards
  • Maintain the high safety and professionalism standards expected by the company
  • Work independently on breakdown tasks but collaborate with the technical team when necessary
  • Manage varied technical problems, including electrical and complex diagnostics
Requirements of the Roadside Vehicle Technician:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum of a Level 2 (or higher) light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience in vehicle repair or diagnostics
  • Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to work independently
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends, with approximately 50% of weekends on rota
  • Ability to manage diverse breakdown scenarios with professionalism and efficiency
