Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting robotic welding equipment, loading components into welding fixtures, monitoring weld quality, and carrying out basic machine adjustments to ensure products meet specification. You'll work from engineering drawings, complete quality inspections, and help achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.

Salary: £34,564.99 + 12.5% Shift Allowance

Responsibilities

· Operate semi-automated welding equipment for circumferential and longitudinal welds.

· Operate EBW and automated robotic welding equipment.

· Carry out weld inspections in line with customer drawings and specifications.

· Perform both manual and automated TIG welding.

· Complete weld repairs where required.

· Ensure products meet customer and internal quality standards, including NADCAP and AS9100 requirements.

· Interpret engineering drawings and work to precise tolerances.

· Follow work instructions, procedures, and quality standards.

· Complete routine autonomous maintenance to keep equipment operational.

Skills & Experience

· Proven welding experience

· Experience within the aerospace industry

· Experience operating semi-automated or robotic welding equipment

· Experience inspecting welds

· Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles

· Experience working to production targets and deadlines

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

· High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
