Our client is a well-established and reputable social housing contractor for all the maintenance, known for delivering high-quality workmanship across both residential  projects. With a strong pipeline of work secured for the year ahead, they are looking to appoint an experienced Roofer to join their growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
 
As a Roofer, you will be responsible for carrying out roofing installation, repair and maintenance works across a variety of project types, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
  • Install, repair and maintain pitched and flat roofing systems, including tiling, slating, felt and single-ply membrane systems.
  • Carry out lead work, flashings, guttering and associated weatherproofing details.
  • Diagnose and repair roof leaks, storm damage and general wear and tear.
  • Work safely at height, following all relevant health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications where required.
  • Liaise professionally with site supervisors, other trades, and clients where necessary.
  • Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe and tidy on completion.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and any required documentation.
WHAT OUR CLIENT LOOKING FOR
  • Proven experience as a Roofer, ideally across both residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of pitched and/or flat roofing systems and associated materials.
  • A relevant trade qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Roofing) is desirable, though strong practical experience will be considered.
  • Comfortable and confident working at height in line with safety regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence, ideally with your own transport.
  • A reliable, hard-working attitude with good attention to detail.
