Duration: 6 month contract
Rate: £600 per day UMB (Inside IR35)
Role details:
NATS (National Air Traffic Services) are looking for Safety Assurance Engineers to support them on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generation and preparation of the Safety & Assurance plans, arguments and collating the evidence for the Change Assurance documentation.
- Lead workshops with Subject Matter Experts to identify safety hazards and define safety & assurance requirements for project changes.
- Ensure assurance activities for allocated projects comply with the NATS Business and Safety Management Systems.
- Guarantee all standards of work conform to best practice and are proportionate to the level of risk.
- Provide assurance support to various stakeholders within major projects/programmes to influence design changes to meet derived requirements effectively.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues affecting the safety, business continuity, human performance, and cyber security of NATS services or its interfaces.
What we are looking for in you:
- Experience in safety/assurance methods (e.g. hazard analysis, GSN, risk assessment)
- Experience in developing compelling assurance arguments for changes
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in project/work package management
- STEM degree or equivalent experience
- Background in safety case/assurance argument development
- Desired: Knowledge of NATS ATC/Engineering Operational Services and Procedures, with experience in projects affecting operational centres or airports.
