Our two-year salaried teacher training programme gives you the opportunity to work in one school in Bournemouth, earn a salary and develop the skills needed to become a qualified teacher.
Year 1 – Cover Supervisor
Your first year will give you valuable experience of school life. You will:
- Supervise classes and deliver prepared lessons
- Support pupils with their learning
- Develop classroom management skills
- Build relationships with pupils and staff
- Work alongside experienced teachers
- Gain a genuine insight into the teaching profession
Year 2 – Trainee Teacher
You'll progress into formal teacher training, completing your PGCE and working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
You will develop your skills in:
- Lesson planning and delivery
- Assessment and pupil progress
- Classroom management
- Differentiation and teaching strategies
- Professional development and reflective practice
