This role is to be based in Durham. This role is packed with learning and development. You will work closely with the Supply Chain, Sales & Customer Service team on a day to day basis. This role provides key administrative and customer service support to the sales team, ensuring orders are processed accurately, deliveries are well-coordinated, and customers receive the highest standard of service.

Annual Base Salary of £27,880 per annum.
Excellent bonus & commission incentives. Yearly Bonus on top of base salary (Company performance dependent) Additional 10%. 
Excellent pension of 11.5%, well above market average.
Monday to Friday working hours, early finish on Friday 13:30 hours available if contracted hours are worked throughout week!

 THE BUSINESS
Our fantastic manufacturing client is experiencing tremendous growth at present. With recently announced investment, the business continues to go strength to strength. They seek to appoint a talented Sales Administrator to join their excellent team. My client’s culture is first class.

  
THE ROLE

  • Act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email.
  • Provide clear and professional communication regarding product availability, delivery schedules, and order status.
  • Handle customer issues promptly, coordinating with internal teams to ensure quick resolution.
  • Build strong relationships with regular customers
  • Manage inbound sales enquiries via phone, email, and CRM, providing product availability, pricing, and lead-time information.
  • Allocate orders to the optimum mill, considering product mix, stock levels, lead times and geography.
  • Accurately process customer orders, ensuring correct product codes, quantities, and pricing, aligned to customer offer Liaise with customer where minimum order quantities are not met, or loads require filling.
  • Maintain accurate records in Price lists, ERP and CRM systems, ensuring visibility across the wider sales and operations teams.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on customer quotations and tenders.
  • Assist in generating sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries as required.
  • Provide proactive support to the external sales team across all product lines, ensuring smooth communication and efficient account management.
  • Prepare, check and send sales invoice batches, ensuing price accuracy
  • Liaise daily with dispatch and logistics colleagues to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Monitor delivery performance, ensuring orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
  • Assist in resolving any delivery or transport-related queries quickly and professionally
  
  
  
THE PERSON

  • Previous experience in sales administration, customer service, or office support, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
  • Driving licence to access site in Durham.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A team player with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
