A market-leading technology business operating within the electronics sector is seeking an experienced Sales Director to join its Senior Leadership Team. This is a key strategic appointment, offering the opportunity to influence business direction, drive commercial growth, and lead a well-established sales organisation across the UK and Ireland.
The company supplies specialist electronic products and solutions into a range of high-growth markets and has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, innovation, and customer service. As Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in identifying growth opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth.
The Role of Sales Director
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy across multiple specialist business units. You will provide leadership and direction to Sales Management, Field Sales, and Internal Sales teams, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining a strong customer focus.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and executing the sales and business growth strategy.
- Driving revenue, gross margin, and profitability improvements.
- Identifying new market opportunities and emerging technologies.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Working closely with technical teams to align customer requirements with product and design solutions.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and future growth sectors.
- Contributing to wider business strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Package
- Circa £95,000 basic salary (DOE)
- Bonus scheme up to 20%
- £600 per month car allowance

About You
You will be an experienced Sales Director or senior commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering growth within technical, electronics, engineering, or technology-led businesses.
Requirements of Sales Director :
- An Engineering degree, ideally Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Experience within the electronics market.
- A successful track record of delivering sales growth within businesses generating £20m+ revenue.
- 3 days Per week in Office.
- Required to become a Statutory Directory
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive, results-driven leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels.
