Our client, a major player in the supply and service of mechanical and electrical products such as industrial motors, pumps, variable speed drives, and gearboxes is looking to recruit a Sales Engineers within the West of Scotland, based in the Glasgow area. With a vast product supply and service capability they are able to supply specific high-quality product and repair services to clients such as manufacturers, process companies, food, drinks, quarry’s, oil and gas, petro-chem, Paper, Utilities and OEM manufactures within the West of Scotland.

The Role                                                 

This role requires applicants who are able to build long and fruitful relationships with the key decision makers within our client’s customer base, built through trust and credibility, developing sales opportunities through new and existing clients within mechanical and electrical engineering sectors. Most of this role is spent with the customers engineering teams, process, or maintenance teams and also with the purchasing and buying teams. Motors, Drives, VSD, Rotational equipment, Gearbox, Automation, Instrumentation or Process Control product sales would be of benefit however the ability to take information on quickly is key to the success of this role. In-house training will be provided however internal or external sales experience selling within this clients’ market is required to succeed in this role.

The Person

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong sales record within either or all of these products- motors, drives, VFD, pumps, invertors, controls, variable speed drives. Applicants working within this industry presently would be best suited to this role as would applicants looking to return to this market. Experience of selling to both large and small end-users is the most important part of this role, as is the ability to work autonomously and under your own steam. A steady career history will aid to the credibility of the successful applicant’s application.

You will receive a package based on a £34-40K basic salary, company car/ car allowance, Pension, Mobile Phone, Laptop, and holidays.
