Sales Manager, Superb Tour Operator, London Hybrid (3 days per week), £Excellent Salary doe. Are you an experienced sales leader with a strong contact centre background and a passion for developing high-performing teams?
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and inspire a regional contact centre sales team, driving revenue, conversion, customer service and ancillary sales.
This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership role, combining people management, commercial performance, workforce planning and data-driven decision making.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing regional sales team, including recruitment, performance management, succession planning and talent development.
- Taking ownership of sales targets, conversion, revenue, upselling and customer service performance.
- Developing sales strategies, forecasting performance and providing regular commercial updates to senior leadership.
- Using CRM, contact centre and analytics tools to monitor pipeline health, conversion rates and KPIs, turning data into actionable performance improvements.
- Overseeing workforce planning, agent scheduling and shift optimisation to ensure effective contact centre coverage and productivity.
- Working closely with Marketing, Product, Finance and Customer Operations to support campaigns, new products and improvements to booking channels.
- Developing incentive and reward programmes to drive sales of ancillary products such as Air and Travel Insurance.
- Ensuring all sales activity complies with GDPR, customer data protection requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
- Managing complex customer situations and maintaining a positive, ethical and values-led sales culture.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience managing and developing sales teams, particularly within a conversion-focused environment.
- 5+ years' experience in a high-volume contact centre or customer contact environment.
- Strong experience within travel and tour operations
- A good understanding of travel booking processes and distribution channels
- Proven experience using CRM, contact centre technology, workforce management and performance analytics tools.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear actions and results.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and decisive when managing high volumes, competing priorities and complex customer situations.
- A genuine passion for coaching people, improving performance and creating a positive sales culture.
