A well-established business based in Stockport is looking for a Sales Support Administrator to join their busy team on a temporary basis. The business supplies specialist products and equipment to contractors and engineers, and this role will provide essential administrative and customer support across the sales function.
As a Sales Support Administrator, you'll be part of a team managing a busy shared inbox and a varied workload. This is much more than straightforward data entry - you'll need to use your initiative, investigate issues, communicate with different teams and ensure customers receive an efficient and professional service.
What will you be doing as a Sales Support Administrator?
- Supporting the sales team with the day-to-day administration of customer orders
- Managing incoming requests and making sure they are dealt with accurately and efficiently
- Checking information, availability and requirements before progressing orders
- Communicating with customers by email and telephone when updates or further information are required
- Working closely with internal teams to resolve queries and keep orders moving
- Supporting the smooth coordination of deliveries and customer requirements
- Dealing with returns and helping to ensure these are processed correctly
- Investigating invoice and order queries and working with colleagues to resolve discrepancies
- Keeping customer and order information accurately updated on internal systems
- Managing your workload effectively within a busy shared inbox
- Ensuring clear records are maintained so that colleagues can easily pick up and continue work when required
- Providing general administrative and sales support to the wider team
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Sales Administrator, Sales Support Administrator, Sales Coordinator, Order Processor, Order Administrator, Customer Service Administrator or Administrator
- Experience working in a busy office, sales support or customer service environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues rather than simply pass them on
- Confident using computer systems and learning new software
- Good Microsoft Office and Outlook skills
- SAP experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential
- Confident communicating with customers and colleagues by telephone and email
- Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Strong team player who is happy working from a shared inbox
- Comfortable using your own initiative and taking ownership of tasks
- A customer-focused approach and a genuine desire to get things right first time
What will you get in return for your work as a Sales Support Administrator?
- £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Equivalent to approximately £13.33 - £14.36 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Temporary position until the end of December 2026
- Potential for the role to continue beyond December
- Weekly pay
- Paid annual leave (accrued)
