Sales Support Administrator

As a key member of the Sales team, this position will provide Sales and Administrative support, including generation of standard quotations from internal price lists for the client and the processing of order acknowledgments, ensuring that all details are correct and in accordance with the customer order requirements, in respect of specification, price, delivery and agreed payment terms.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4:00pm, Fridays  7:30am to 1:00pm

Salary : Up to £27,000

Responsibilities

  • Processing Order Acknowledgements for the department.
  • Responding to telephone and email enquiries
  • Prepare and issue quotations in accordance with customers requirements, using the relevant costing tools and Sage 200,
  • Converting Quotations to Orders once received, ensuring details and terms on the Purchase order are as quoted. Any deviances to be reported to the customer for amendment or re-quoted.
  • Discuss opening of new accounts with Product Manager as necessary.
  • Liaise with Product Manager where special terms of payment are required
  • Liaise with customers at all levels, exercising excellent customer care at all times.
  • Follow up live quotations and new sales leads, and updating internal records as appropriate.
  • Running regular reports from the quoting system and Order Intake, for use in strategic contact with customers and potential prospects.
  • Continuously building customer relationships, monitoring customer feedback, looking out for customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction, change to customer personnel and reporting same accordingly.
  • General administrative support to the Flexible Conveyor department, including filing and document control.
  • Any other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in an administrative or data-focused role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong Excel skills (lookups, filters, basic formulas) and competent in Outlook and Word.
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200
  • High degree of numeracy and accuracy, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, confident liaising with both shop-floor and office-based colleagues.
  • Well organised, able to manage routine daily tasks to deadlines and use own initiative.
  • Can do attitude.
