Title: Salesforce Technical Performance Developer

Location: London | Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Contract: 6 Months (Possibility to Extend)

Day Rate: Up £330 PAYE (Negotiable)

Our client is seeking a Salesforce Technical Performance Developer to join a large-scale Salesforce environment focused on delivering a high-performing, reliable, and scalable platform. This is a hands-on technical position where you'll contribute to the ongoing enhancement of a complex Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring it supports business objectives while maintaining platform stability and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities

Performance Engineering & Optimisation

  • Analyse and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and data operations.
  • Optimise SOQL/SOSL queries, batch jobs, triggers, and asynchronous processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Conduct end-to-end performance analysis using developer tools and monitoring frameworks.
  • Identify and resolve high CPU usage, long-running transactions, and inefficient data models.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production issues within highly customised Salesforce environments.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring failures and performance degradation.
  • Work closely with support teams and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Recommend sustainable, long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.
  • Design and develop scalable solutions using Apex (Triggers, Classes, Batch, Queueables, Future Methods), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce declarative tools.
  • Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability, efficiency, and overall platform performance.
  • Ensure all development aligns with Salesforce best practices and organisational coding standards.
  • Enforce Salesforce development standards and performance guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Identify technical debt and drive remediation initiatives.
  • Contribute to reusable frameworks, design patterns, and platform improvements.
  • Collaborate with architects, technical leads, product owners, and cross-functional teams to support project delivery.
  • Support performance testing, critical releases, and production deployments.
  • Assist in defining performance benchmarks and service level expectations (SLAs).

  • Proven hands-on experience optimising Salesforce platform performance.
