Wolviston Management Services is continuing to support Tioxide and recruiting for a SAP Data Controller to join the Engineering function at Greatham.
This is a specialist engineering systems and data role, supporting the development and continuous improvement of SAP Plant Maintenance, Enterprise Asset Management processes, Factory Information Systems and other intelligent data interfaces.
You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Manufacturing SAP users, Site Leadership, external suppliers and wider site stakeholders to ensure SAP PM/MM data, workflows, reporting and system processes support safe, reliable and efficient site operations.
This role would suit someone with strong SAP PM, maintenance systems, engineering master data or Enterprise Asset Management experience who enjoys improving systems, supporting users and turning data into meaningful operational insight.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You will:
- Own and improve functional workflow processes for SAP PM/MM and Enterprise Asset Management.
- Create, change and manage SAP PM data, including functional locations, equipment, materials, BOMs, task lists and maintenance plans.
- Support SAP master data accuracy across plant areas.
- Manage complementary systems, including engineering spares and maintenance-related data systems.
- Provide first-line support to manufacturing SAP users.
- Coach and influence users in the effective use of SAP PM, Factory Information Systems and web-based intelligent interfaces.
- Provide technical support, guidance and solutions for SAP PM and related system issues.
- Develop and enhance SAP Planned Maintenance module functionality.
- Support consistent working practices across maintenance, reliability and engineering teams.
- Plan and prioritise master data maintenance work to support statutory, maintenance and CAPEX programmes.
- Manage SAP role allocation, access controls and user training requirements.
- Develop automated reports aligned to business goals.
- Provide targeted performance information for stakeholders including the Site Director, Site Leadership Team and Engineering Managers.
- Liaise with external suppliers to support Computer Aided Engineering solutions.
- Support the development of Aveva PI Vision, Factory Information Systems and other intelligent interfaces.
- Contribute to improved safety, quality, cost, production, maintenance and reliability performance.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
We welcome applications from people who have:
- Proven experience delivering or supporting SAP Plant Maintenance or Enterprise Asset Management solutions.
- HNC-level education in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years’ relevant industrial experience in asset management, maintenance systems or capital project execution.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PM and maintenance performance metrics, including OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
- Experience developing performance reports, automated reports or business intelligence tools.
- Well-developed IT skills, including Excel and the ability to create tools, reports and analysis using relevant software packages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to support, coach and influence system users.
- The ability to understand complex issues and translate them into practical solutions.
- A proactive approach to learning new systems and applying them effectively.
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
- Chemical, process, manufacturing or high-hazard industrial environments.
- Supporting a large SAP user community.
- Managing SAP role allocation, access controls or user training.
- Aveva PI Vision, PI/FIS or Factory Information Systems.
- Statutory maintenance, planned maintenance or CAPEX programme data requirements.
- Computer Aided Engineering systems or external software suppliers.
- Acting as a Business Process Owner for SAP, maintenance systems or asset management processes.
- Developing web-based intelligent interfaces or operational reporting dashboards.
