BAE Systems is looking for an experienced SAP Security & Authorisations (S&A) Consultant to join an established DevOps team in Preston, Lancashire. You'll support a strong pipeline of transformational change and the ongoing development of SAP ERP solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

- Duration: 6 months
- Working pattern: Hybrid (approx. 1-2 days per month onsite)
- Hours: 37 hours/week
- Rate: £500/day
- Clearance: BPSS required
- Headcount: 1
Responsibilities
- Design, configure and develop SAP Security & Authorisations solutions (standard + customised)
- Produce functional and technical designs aligned to end-to-end SAP solutions
- Support the platform: resolve incidents/problems, reduce technical debt, improve service stability
- Translate business requirements into secure, fit-for-purpose SAP S&A designs
- Contribute across delivery: development, testing, data management, release, governance & control
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Analysts and stakeholders in an Agile/DevOps model (Scrum/Kanban)
Skills & experience required
- Strong, hands-on background in SAP S&A (design/build/config/support)
- Good understanding of SAP ERP modules, components, architecture and integration
- Experience supporting SAP within medium-large enterprise environments
- Understanding of SAP delivery lifecycles (Agile and/or Waterfall)
- Familiar with ITIL/service operations (ServiceNow knowledge useful)
- Confident communicator able to explain complex topics to technical & non-technical audiences
