Saw Operator - Weekend Shift

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Bristol for a Saw Operator to join their production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous saw operating experience who is looking to join a stable business offering long-term career prospects and full product training. Experience cutting any material will be considered, so if you've operated saws within timber, plastics, metal, engineering, manufacturing, or other production environments, we'd be keen to hear from you.
The Role
As a Saw Operator, you'll be responsible for cutting aluminium materials to customer specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and traceability throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating saw machinery to cut materials in line with work orders
- Cutting aluminium products to customer specifications
- Lifting, handling and loading materials safely as part of the production process
- Maintaining accurate records and material traceability
- Carrying out quality checks on finished products
- Reporting equipment issues to your line manager
- Working safely and maintaining high housekeeping standards
What We're Looking For
Essential
- At least 1 year's experience operating saw machinery
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering or industrial environment
- Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding the importance of quality and traceability
- Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role, including manual handling
Desirable
- Experience cutting metal, timber, plastics or other materials
- Overhead crane licence
- Counterbalance forklift licence
Please note: Materials are loaded using overhead cranes, so previous overhead crane experience would be advantageous. Training can be provided for the right candidate.

- Saturday: 06:00 - 18:00
- Sunday: 06:00 - 18:00

Additional Requirement
