The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Scaffolding professional with a passion for developing the next generation of skilled workers? We're looking for a knowledgeable and engaging Scaffolding Apprenticeship Coach to support apprentices throughout their learning journey, helping them develop the occupational competence, technical knowledge and professional behaviours required to succeed within the construction industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Scaffolder, Scaffolding Assessor, Trainer or Skills Coach to combine their industry expertise with apprenticeship delivery, workplace coaching and employer engagement.

The Role
As a Scaffolding Apprenticeship Coach, you will manage a caseload of apprentices and support them throughout their apprenticeship journey. You'll combine workplace coaching, progress reviews, assessment and employer engagement to ensure learners remain on track and are fully prepared for successful completion and End-Point Assessment.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering workplace coaching and technical support aligned with Scaffolding Apprenticeship Standards.

Conducting workplace observations, competency assessments and progress reviews.

Supporting Recognition of Prior Learning and the development of individual learning plans.

Monitoring learner progress against Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs).

Working with apprentices and employers through regular progress reviews and action planning.

Supporting learners to build the evidence and confidence required for End-Point Assessment (EPA).

Reviewing Off-the-Job training, portfolio evidence and learner documentation.

Maintaining accurate learner records in line with apprenticeship and funding requirements.

Building strong relationships with employers, site supervisors and workplace mentors.

Identifying learners requiring additional support and implementing appropriate interventions.

Promoting safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the learner journey.

Participating in quality assurance, standardisation and continuous improvement activities.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with strong occupational credibility within the scaffolding industry and the ability to coach and support apprentices in a workplace environment.
You will ideally have:

Recent and relevant occupational experience within Scaffolding or the wider Construction sector.

Experience as a Skills Coach, Trainer, Assessor or Apprenticeship professional would be advantageous.

Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and workplace learning.

Knowledge of End-Point Assessment, KSBs and Off-the-Job training requirements.

Experience conducting workplace observations, assessments or competency reviews.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong employer relationships.

Strong organisational skills and confidence managing a learner caseload.

A learner-focused approach with a genuine passion for developing people.

Relevant occupational qualifications in Scaffolding or Construction.

Teaching, assessing or coaching qualifications would be advantageous.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to employer sites as required.
