Scheduler

Randstad Construction and Property

Randstad are currently partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing safety and compliance businesses to find a highly organised Administration Support and Scheduler to join their Water Hygiene division at their Stoke Head Office.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love being the organisational glue that holds a team together, this is for you. Operating much like a dynamic help-desk coordinator, you will be the vital link connecting clients, field engineers, and the technical laboratory team. Our client is looking for a proactive problem-solver who wants to build a long-term career with a business that truly values its back-office staff.

Location: Stoke

Salary: £25,500 - £28,000

Working hours: 37.5 hours

Package:

  • 25 days holiday, increasing by 1 day every year
  • Stakeholder Pension, Life cover, Employee Assistance Programme, and a Health policy
  • Total flexibility to choose a standard company car, a commercial van, or opt for a cash allowance

What you'll actually be doing day-to-day:

  • You will take charge of planning, scheduling, and diarising water hygiene site works, making sure engineers are allocated efficiently and routes are optimised to minimise downtime.
  • You'll be the friendly, professional voice on the phone, liaising with client sites to arrange access, confirm appointments, and swiftly manage any scheduling curve-balls or conflicts.
  • You will act as the primary coordination point between the field engineers out on the road and the central operations team.
  • You will coordinate the receipt of laboratory analysis, ensure data is accurately tracked, and liaise directly with the Service Chemist regarding sample statuses and follow-up actions.
  • You'll maintain highly accurate administrative records, job schedules, and file lab results to ensure everything meets strict audit and compliance standards.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • To succeed in this role, you need to hold strong organisational and time-management skills; multi-tasking and prioritising tasks when necessary.
  • High attention to detail who communicates wonderfully, both over the phone and in writing.
  • You must be fully IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) alongside internal scheduling systems.
  • You'll need a calm, problem-solving mindset to handle operational changes and scheduling clashes.
  • It would be beneficial to have an understanding of compliance-driven environments (like water hygiene or similar regulated services)
