The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Scheduling Manager to join a well-established property services contractor. 

This is a key leadership role based in Stratford, overseeing a team of up to 10 schedulers. The successful candidate will play a vital part in driving performance, improving processes, and ensuring efficient delivery of repairs and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of up to 10 schedulers
  • Oversee day-to-day planning and scheduling of responsive repairs
  • Step in to support planning activities when required
  • Drive team performance against KPIs and service targets
  • Manage sickness, absence, and performance issues effectively
  • Implement and improve scheduling processes and ways of working
  • Act as a strong people manager, fostering a positive and productive team culture
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure service efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and change initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a scheduling/planning environment within property services or social housing
  • Strong line management experience (essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance, absence, and team development
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Hands-on approach with willingness to support planning when needed

Desirable

  • Understanding of WIP (Work in Progress) and its impact on service delivery
  • Experience driving change and improving operational processes
  • Knowledge of workforce management or scheduling systems
