Location: Plymouth
We are seeking an organised, professional, and friendly School Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school and act as a key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the school reception and handling telephone and email enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records.
- Processing attendance, admissions, and general administrative tasks.
- Supporting school leadership and teaching staff with administrative duties.
- Managing correspondence, filing, and data entry.
- Assisting with school communications and events.
- Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
Essential Requirements
- A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service is mandatory and must be in place before employment can commence.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a school administration role.
- Experience using SIMS (School Information Management System).
- Knowledge of school procedures, attendance management, and safeguarding requirements.
- Experience working within an educational environment.
