Education, Health, and Care Plans Administrator
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £22,675 - £23,300 per annum
Hours: Full Time | Term Time Only (Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm)
Are you an organised administrator with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting young people with additional needs?
We are seeking a proactive EHCP Administrator to join our dedicated specialist education team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are managed efficiently, enabling children and young people with Special Educational Needs to receive the support they need to thrive.
Working closely with the SENCo and wider multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate Annual Reviews, maintain accurate records, and ensure statutory deadlines are consistently met.
About the Role
As the EHCP Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating the administration of the EHCP review process across the school. Your attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to communicate effectively with families, professionals and local authorities will be essential in delivering a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and attend EHCP Annual Review and Transition Review meetings.
- Prepare and distribute documentation before and after meetings.
- Record accurate meeting notes and complete statutory paperwork.
- Maintain confidential pupil records and ensure documentation is completed within required timescales.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, parents, carers and external professionals.
- Monitor EHCP review schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Organise meeting invitations, venues and supporting documentation.
- Provide administrative support for additional school projects and operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and current statutory guidance.
- Support the wider administration team as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous administrative experience in education, healthcare or a similar environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Experience working within SEND or specialist education.
- Understanding of annual review processes.
- Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
