School Administrator - Temporary Long Term - Burnley/Padiham

Are you an experienced School Administrator looking for your next opportunity?

Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established school in the Padiham/Burnley area to recruit a School Administrator on a temporary basis. This role is required to provide essential support whilst the school undertakes recruitment for a permanent member of staff and is expected to last for at least 6 weeks in the first instance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy school office team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

Your new role

As School Administrator, you will be responsible for:

• Providing front-of-house reception support for pupils, parents and visitors.
• Managing telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Supporting attendance administration and maintaining accurate records.
• Processing school communications, correspondence and documentation.
• Updating pupil information using the school's MIS system.
• Assisting the Headteacher and wider leadership team with administrative tasks.
• Supporting the smooth operation of the school office and wider administration functions.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working in a school office environment.
• Experience using school MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A professional, friendly and proactive approach.
• The ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
