We are currently recruiting for an Attendance Officer on behalf of a welcoming and well-established secondary school in the Oldham area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Attendance Officer, Attendance Administrator, School Administrator, Pastoral Officer or Education Welfare professional looking to join a supportive school environment where attendance and student outcomes are a key priority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and track student attendance and punctuality.
  • Follow up on absences with parents and carers.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records using the school's MIS system.
  • Produce attendance reports and analyse attendance data.
  • Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams to improve attendance.
  • Liaise with external agencies where required.
  • Support the implementation of whole-school attendance strategies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a school attendance, administration, pastoral or welfare role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
  • Experience using SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar systems is desirable.
