Spencer from Simply Education is currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a welcoming secondary school in Banbury on an initial 10-week temporary booking, starting as soon as possible.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work within a school environment, with full training provided. You will join an established premises team and work alongside three other members of staff, supporting the smooth day-to-day running and upkeep of the school site.
The Role
- Supporting the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school site
- Carrying out general caretaking and minor maintenance duties
- Ensuring classrooms, communal areas and outdoor spaces are safe and well maintained
- Setting up and moving furniture and equipment when required
- Carrying out basic repairs and reporting larger maintenance issues
- Supporting the wider premises team with general site duties
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff
- Following school health and safety procedures
About You
Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, site assistant or similar role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
