Location: Chester & surrounding areas
Pay: £14.50 - £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:15pm - 5:15pm
Contract: Temporary / Long-term opportunity

Academics are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to join a welcoming primary school in the rural Chester area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for reliable afternoon work within a friendly school environment. You will play an important role in keeping the school clean, tidy and ready for pupils and staff each day.

The Role

• Cleaning classrooms, communal areas and school facilities
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces
• Cleaning toilets and other designated areas
• Ensuring cleaning standards are consistently maintained
• Following school health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Working independently while contributing to the wider school team

We're Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, although not essential
• Someone reliable, punctual and conscientious
• Good attention to detail and pride in their work
• The ability to work independently and manage a regular cleaning routine
• A friendly and professional approach
• Someone looking for consistent part-time afternoon work

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 3:15pm-5:15pm, making this a great opportunity for someone seeking a regular 10-hour-per-week role that fits around other commitments.

Academics will provide ongoing support throughout the placement, with opportunities for further school-based work where appropriate.

The school is located in the rural areas outside of Chester so, whilst not required, access to a car or knowledge of public transport will be very helpful if the chosen individual is not local to this school.
